More

At the website of Rogaland Theatre the following, among other things, is written about Every Brilliant Thing:

"Every Brilliant Thing is the story of the seven-year-old boy who is left in the hospital's waiting room due to his mother's attempt at committing suicide. Here, he begins to list things he means can help his mother refind the joy of life. A list of things making life worth living. All the brilliant things, including icecream and Kung Fu movies, hearing Janis Joplin sing and laughing so hard, milk comes out of one's nose.

The list is made with tenderness and earnestness, but can it help her get out of her suicidal, depressive condition? It becomes a life-long project. Many years and a thousand contributions later, the list lives a life of its own, and it has followed the main character through hard and happy times."
