At the webpage of The Norwegian Theatre the following, among other things, is written about Haust i helvete* (Autumn in hell):

"In a seemingly brutal world, where hypocrisy and double standards rule: Who is the one in the wrong? The one whose mind suffers illness, or the one who doesn't?

We are brought into the world of a man who thinks he is Jim Morrison of legendary 1960es band The Doors. He is likely an inpatient at a psychiatric ward, due to personality disorder. He is vulnerable, has lost his footing and tripped over the edge, just like his soul brother Jim. The lives of the two merge and split throughout the poetic text. Situations from life are replayed or they resurface as small fragments. They no longer see the beauty of life, just the brutality and pain.

People are strange
When you're a stranger
Faces look ugly
When you're alone
Women seem wicked
When you're unwanted
Streets are uneven
When you're down

Three persons from different generations stand behind the project. Former head of The Norwegian Theatre, Vidar Sandem and director/actor Bjørn Sundquist were young at the same time as the poet and rock star who died so very much too soon. Erlend Sandem is the son of Vidar Sandem, and responsible for the text with his father. Sundquist is directing, and onstage is actor Hans Rønningen, who also belongs to Morrison's generation, with rocker blood in his veins."

In a press release from The Norwegian Theatre the following, among other things, is written about Haust i helvete:

"Later this autumn Jim Morrison comes to Scene 3, embodied by Hans Rønningen. Bjørn Sundquist directs the play with the title Haust i helvete - Eg er Jim Morrison. We meet a male who in glimpses thinks he is the frontman of the legendary 1960es band The Doors."
