"Brille (literally: Eyeglasses) has been a widow for more than 20 years. She has isolated herself from life as long. In the evening, she relives the memories from her first great love in her imagination, and in the day, she attends work as a section manager in Bureaucracy. A grey existence. Then she gets to know that she lives on borrowed time; she is so ill with cancer she really is far overdue. Will Brille find the time to live before she dies? Will any of us?
Two well-known actors will in l.i.f.e.g.o.e.s.o.n make their debuts in new roles. Frank Kjosås directs the play that brings us behind the seemingly boring facade of Brille. The title role is played by Heidi Gjermundsen Broch; an actress who has often shared the stage with Frank Kjosås in large musical roles. Rolf Kristian Larsen makes his debut as a playwright with this unexpected declaration of love for the middle-aged woman who is indistinguishable from the office landscape she is part of. l.i.f.e.g.o.e.s.o.n is one of two plays Larsen has developed during his residency at Norwegian Centre for New Playwriting."
"The newly written play l.i.f.e.g.o.e.s.o.n by Rolf Kristian Larsen rounds off the season with a morbidly humorous portrait by the grey and anonymous Brille. Heidi Gjermundsen Broch is to play the middle-aged bureaucrat who all of a sudden finds herself in a hurry to live, when her cancer diagnosis gives her a short horizon of time."
