The Lady from the Sea – Waltz from La Sylphide – Courting – The Moon Reindeer

The Lady from the Sea – Waltz from La Sylphide – Courting – The Moon Reindeer (1961) was a ballet production by The Norwegian National Opera & Ballet. The production consisted of four ballets and was performed in the opera's facilities in Folketeaterbygningen (the Folketeateret building).

The program consisted of the following ballets:

The Lady from the Sea, choreographed by Birgit Cullberg, after the play by Henrik Ibsen, with music by Knudåge Riisager.

Waltz in C sharp minor from La Sylphide, choreography by August Bournonville, music by Herman S. Løvenskiold.

Courting, choreographed by Birgit Cullberg, with music by Gioacchino Rossini.

The Moon Reindeer, choreographed by Birgit Cullberg, with music by Knudåge Riisager.

Henny Mürer danced the role of Aili. She received the Norwegian Critics’ Award for dance 1962 for her interpretation of the role.

The Moon Reindeer visited Bergen International Festival 1962, with Ivo Cramér's ballet Catharsis.

The Moon Reindeer was also performed in Kiel, together with Counterpoint og The Miraculous Mandarin in 1964.
