At the webpage of Visjoner Teater the following, among other things, is written about Kristin Lavransdatter:

"The Kristin Lavransdatter production was invited as a visiting performance by several producers internationally after 1994. The Norwegian Touring Theatre didn't wish to continue the whole production. On the occasion of an invitation from Rome in 1995, Juni Dahr and the musicians Arild Andersen and Tore Brunborg went together as a trio, the text was developed and translated into the English, and Lille Kristin was developed, in collaboration between Juni Dahr and the musicians Arild Andersen and Tore Brunborg, with a simplified stage design/lighting design/coordination by Aimee Malthe Harnes. Lighting: Marianne Thallaug Wedseth/Stian Lindquist.

Kristin Olsoni's theatrical adaption of Sigrid Undset's great work puts the emphasis on Kristin and the conflict between her strong will and God's will, with sensual love in conflict with spiritual love. The interpretation of the Kristin character is done through a strong physical expression and a direct form of acting. Music conveys action and is interwoven with movement and words in Kristin's life. This also gives room for the spectators to use their imagination.
