Falstaff

Falstaff (1969) was an opera production by The Norwegian National Opera. Falstaff was a Norwegian premiere based on the opera of the same title by Giuseppe Verdi (music) og Arrigo Boito (libretto)which in turn was based on William Shakespeare’s comedy The Merry Wives of Windsor. The production was performed on The Norwegian National Opera’s main stage in Folketeateret.

The director was Götz Friedrich.

Ib Hansen performed the title role.
