At the webpage of The Norwegian Theatre the following, among other things, is written about The Brat:

"The story of the factory girls and the community along Akerselva is a warm and captivating story from our near history - and popular Oslo culture. Here is humour and love and anger. Who hasn't got a memory or another of the girls of the weavery, luscious types such as Petrina (Elisabeth Matheson), Hønse-Lovisa (Britt Langlie), Olina (Tone Ringen), Sersjant-Petra (Hildegun Riise), Krestna (Unn Vibeke Hol), the charming womaniser Julius (Sverre Solberg) and the two night guards, Krestoffer (Sigve Bøe) and Engebret (Harald Heide-Steen jr.).

Even though social conditions have changed much since the turn of the century, the care and solidarity running through the play has become hard to find in our consumer-strong and 'sustainable' wealth. Perhaps there is something to learn from those who really 'built the country'."
