In Dreams was a sequel to the concert performance Invitation to Lynch. Invitation to Lynch was performed for the first time during the festival Skuret Teaterfestival in 2006 and it soon got cult status in Trondheim. In the sequel In Dreams Hilde Bjerkeskaug and The Douglas Firs hired more musicians, visual artists, actors and a wider technical crew. The production is a total experience, including sound installation, an exhibition and a concert.

Lynch’ many-layered work has fascinated critics and audience for more than two decades. He has served mysticism, warm humour and queer descriptions of humans’ desperate relationships to their own dark sides in a way moving us more than we expect. In particular he emphasises the phenomenon of dreams and the reality of dreams. In Dreams became one of the most famous Roy Orbison songs after Lynch used it in Blue Velvet in 1986.

The Douglas Firs was a constellation of performers gathering during the work with the production Invitation to Lynch. The people behind the concept were Hilde Bjerkeskaug and Håvard Paulsen in Hossmatross Produksjoner.
