Dirigenten* (The Conductor) by Pontenegrinerne starts as a simple and direct production about the big emotions, but it develops in a surprising direction.

Dirigenten was a result of the collaboration between the independent theatre company Pontenegrinerene and the actress Inga Dale Aagård from Northern Trøndelag.

Pontenegrinerne was established by Pål Christian Eggen, Erlend Olaisen, Astrid Mejdell and Ingrid Weme Nilsen in 2002, and since then the company has produced several productions in and near Oslo. The productions have in common that they sprang out from classic works and that they were performed in places never used for performances prior to Pontenegrinerne.

Dirigenten was supported by the municipality of Trondheim.
