The Father

"Faces, names, times and places mix in André's mind. Something is not right. Was I a step dancer or an engineer? Why does my daughter try to fool me - wasn't she supposed to move to London? Why is that strange woman in my home, and who is the clock thief?
With features from absurd comedy and spy thrillers alike, a warm and tender depiction of the father-daughter relationship is given. This relationship is characterised by strong love, but as the aging André loses his hold of reality, patience between them wears thin. He is losing himself and she is fighting to handle the loss of a father.
The French writer Florian Zeller has made himself a name with his refreshing perspectives on relational challenges and life transformations. His award-winning play The Father took audiences by storm in Paris, London and New York, and it has its Norwegian premiere at The National Stage."
