"Have you heard of Hanna Winsnes?

The vicar's wife who with her cookbook from 1845 taught the Norwegian people butchering, cooking, husbandry, soap-cooking and the correct way to treat a maid. She was admired and ridiculed, and Arne Garborg mocked her: 'One takes...takes...takes...and is not bothered by the question of where to take it all from'.

She also was Norway's first female novel writer, and her writing included romantic novel feuilletons in weeklies, in which there are both love and murder. Using a male pseudonym, though.
