Medea - Carnaval

Medea - Carnaval (1959) was a ballet production by The Norwegian National Opera, performed in the opera's venue in the Folketeatret building. The program consisted of two ballets:

Medea, choreography by Birgit Cullberg, was based on a tragedy by Euripides. The music is by Béla Bartók.

Edith Roger danced the title role of Medea.

Carnaval, choreography by Michel Fokine, music by Robert Schumann.

Medea was performed at the Bergen International Festival in 1963.
