Crime and Punishment

Raskolnikov - Crime and Punishment (2002) was a theatre production by The Norwegian Touring Theatre in collaboration with The National Theatre. The production was based on the novel by Fyodor Dostoyevsky, in a theatrical adaption by Bentein Baardson and Bodil Kvamme. It was performed on tour the autumn of 2002, with its tour opening September 4 in Steinkjer.

Bentein Baardson directed it.

Fridtjov Såheim played the role of Raskolnikov.

After the tour with The Norwegian Touring Theatre, Raskolnikov - Crime and Punishment was performed in The National Theatre's venue Amfiscenen.

Noralv Teigen played the role of Luzhyn. This was his last role as steadily employed by The Norwegian Touring Theatre. His first tour with the theatre took place in 1962, with Jeppe of the Hill, and thus he had worked for The Norwegian Touring Theatre for 43 years, only interrupted by the time he headed Sogn og Fjordane Theatre.
