Carousel
Carousel (1977) was a theatre production by The National Theatre, based on the play by Alex Brinchmann. It was performed at the theatre's main stage.
Gunnar Olram directed it.
Per Aabel played the role of Doctor Holm. This was the fourth time he interpreted this role at this theatre, 37 years after the first production of the play, in 1940. Aabel also had this role in a park production in 1953, and in Tancred Ibsen's movie based on the play, The Dangerous Game, from 1942.
Ingerid Vardund played the role of Mrs. Helene Blom.
This production of Carousel also was performed on tour with The Norwegian Touring Theatre the autunm of 1977. 23 performances were given during the tour.
