Shirley Valentine

Shirley Valentine (1989) was a theatre production by The National  Theatre, the Norwegian premiere of the monologue by Willy Russell. It was performed using the Norwegian title Lilli Valentin. The production opened in the theatre's venue Amfiscenen, but was transferred to the main stage in 1990, due to great audience interest.

Anne-Karen Hytten directed it.

Anne Marit Jacobsen played the role of Lilli (Shirley).

Shirley Valentine was revived in 1990, 1992, 1993, 1994 and 2001.

Shirley Valentine also went on tour with The Norwegian Touring Theatre the winter of 1989, and again in 1991. It was performed 23 times during the first tour and 15 during the second.
