A standup show

Barco is a stand-up show by and with Eirik del Barco Soleglad.

Bård Ylvikåker directed it.

The production opened at Ricks in Bergen in 2010, at the time using the title En del Barco og en del Soleglad* (One part Barco and one part Soleglad). For this Eirik del Barco Soleglad was nominated for the Norwegian comedy award Komiprisen 2010. Later it has been performed at Logen in Bergen and as a touring production.

In 2014 the show was revived and performed as Barco at The National Stage the spring of 2014 and at Oslo Nye Teater (Oslo New Theatre) the autumn of 2014.

More

At the website of Oslo Nye Teater (Oslo New Theatre) the following, among other things, is written about Barco:

"With his Northern Norwegian salty observation abilities mixed with French elegance, Eirik del Barco Soleglad brings the audience along on a madcap journey through the history of the world and of Norway, while he tells stories from his own life, about the joys and perils of religion and about sports as a phenomenon.

It is about Sortland, puberty, singing voice, the boat called Hurtigruten, bags of peas and otherwise about anything between heaven and earth, from the time of creation until today. He has written the show for himself and it is directed by well-known Bård Ylvisåker."
