"Shechter is known as an intense, forceful and rough choreographer. With background as a rock musician he composes the music for his own productions, and many compare them to rock concerts. Ten top dancers characterised by a fully unique physicality and five live musicians perform live onstage in Political Mother. The unpolished, ritualistic choreography that is Shechter's trademark is present in abundance in this performance as well. At the same time it provides space for calm and reflection. A puzzle of different meetings unfold and leads to entertaining, sad and chocking events, challenging our values and ideas of what is normal."
