Teater UNO

Teater UNO performs productions in which puppets and human characters collaborate in performing for children of all ages. Assistance in making puppets for performances Teater UNO has had from Dukkenikkerne among others. Annicke Gill and her puppets have often been visiting the culture centre for children called Barnas Kulturhus in Bergen, and have completed several tours in the counties of Hordaland and Sogn og Fjordane.

Teater UNO also has participated in the theatre festival Mini-Midi-Maxi in Bergen (2005). Annicke Gill finds it important that theatre discusses issues important for children. Entertainment is well and good, but she wants to contribute to emphasising the bigger things in life. "All good art is entertaining", Annicke Gill says, wishing to say something to the children about being a human, emphasising the small and big questions of life. Her aims are moving her audience, give meaning and context to being for children whose daily life is in every way fragmented, and to provide something "to chew on". "I want to take part in making theatre providing something more than "just" entertainment; theatre taking children seriously and engaging them in speech and dialogue."
