Kim Bjarke
Kim Bjarke (born 1958) is a Danish theatre director and theatre manager, who from 2014 heads Oslo Nye Teater (Oslo New Theatre).
Bjarke is educated as a theatre director from Danish National School of Theatre and Contemporary Dance in Denmark (graduating in 1985).
He has been the artistic director of Nørrebro Theatre in Copenhagen (2010-2012) and affiliated to Aalborg Theatre (1985-88) and The Royal Danish Theatre (1989-91).

In Norway Kim Bjarke has had assignments as a director at The National Stage, for productions including Noises Off in 2008, Mascarade in 2009 and Tracy Letts' family drama August: Osage County in 2010, at The National Theatre, including the Holberg productions The Fussy Man in 1999 and Jeppe of the Hill in 2003 and at The Norwegian Theatre (Line Knutzon's The Builders in 2011).
Bjarke functioned as artistic advisor to The National Stage during Bjarte Hjelmeland's term as director, 2008-2011.
"My motivation is strong because I see attractive possibilities within the city council's plan. We can create a flexible theatre that is right for our time, one that can unite the best from the theatre institutions and the best from the project theatre. (...) I will strive to be a person who with knowledge, love and consequence can join the forces at the theatre, and make a clear artistic direction for the future. The theatre faces restructuring and the process of change is demanding to all. This process I want to meet with ambitious patience."
