At The National Theatre Henriette Steenstrup has, among other things, played the title role of Pippi Longstocking (2005, directed by Marit Moum Aune) and Hilde Wangel in The Master Builders.

Pippi Longstocking was nominated for The Hedda Award 2006 in the best production for children and youth category.

The autumn of 2008 Steenstrup started the recording of the TV 2 series En god nummer to (literally: A Good No. 2), in which she was personally responsible for the idea and main character. The script was by Kjetil Indregard. The series is a drama comedy in which the action is set at The National Theatre.

Henriette Steenstrupwas nominated for The Hedda Award 2014 in the best supporting actress category for the role of Line in En får væra som en er* (One should be how one is) - an Ole Ivars musical by Hilde Brinchmann, Kjetil Indregard and The Torshov Ensemble, directed by Hanne Tømta, and produced by The Torshov Theatre, The National Theatre.
