Moqi Simon Trolin

Moqi Simon Trolin is a Swedish theatre instructor, who became the artistic director of Danish Mungo Park Kolding in 2007.

Trolin was educated as a director at The Danish National School of Theatre and Contemporary Dance in Copenhagen 2001-2005, and also has a bachelor with subjects such as religion, social anthropology and theatre theory.

His debut as a director was with Sandholm by Anne Bro at Mungo Park Allerød in 2006. The play is about life in a facility for refugees seeking political asylum in Sandholm, Denmark.

Trolin does freelance assignments as a director and has worked for theatres in Denmark, Norway and Sweden.

The production Tilfellet Torgersen* (The Case of Torgersen), produced by Ibsen Theatre in 2006 and directed by Moqi Simon Trolin, was nominated for The Hedda Award 2007 in the theatre project of the year category. This production was based on the play by Jens Bjørneboe from 1973.
